SMS Communication Program
By opting in to receive SMS text messages from Pittsburgh Psychiatry, you agree to the following terms regarding our text messaging program:
- Purpose: Text messages are used for healthcare-related communications, including appointment reminders, secure link delivery for telehealth, and care coordination.
- Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your appointments (typically up to 3 reminders prior to a scheduled appointment).
- Pricing: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
- Opt-Out: You may opt out of our SMS program at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us.
- Help: For assistance, reply HELP to any message, or call our office directly at 412-345-3517.
Medical Emergencies
SMS communication is NOT monitored for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, suicidal thoughts, or a crisis, please call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not rely on text messages or website forms for urgent care.
Interruption of Service
Pittsburgh Psychiatry is not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of information and content to a mobile device may fail due to a variety of circumstances or conditions. Mobile carriers (such as AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc.) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
